Christophe Pourny Leather Serum & Leather Cream

I have a gorgeous set of leather living room furniture that my hubby and I bought 6 or 7 years ago and for a long time it looked great. Then it started to really dry out and look horrible like it was 20 years old. Granted with kids and animals it has really taken a beating. But no matter what I have used to try and re condition the leather, it only lasts for a few hours or maybe a day or two and then it is back to looking horrible. I am not sure I can even get the moisture back in these pieces. I did give it one more try with a product from Christophe Pourny who specializes in Antique Restoration, Period and Custom finishes.

I was sent the Leather Serum and Leather Cream which work to recondition leather of all kinds. I started out on my chair with the Serum as it is a treatment for cracks, dry spots and damage. This is made from beautiful Italian Avocado oil. I had a few spots that I treated with the serum and it soaked in quite nicely. It was interesting to work with as you only get a dropper to do the spot treatments with so I used a cloth and put a few droppers on the cloth and then applied it in the damaged spots, rubbing it in. It turned the leather a dark color but then it eventually soaked in and left it looking moisturized.

After I used the serum in the spots I needed, I then turned to the Leather Cream. This is comes in a small jar and it is a solid cream made with Beeswax, Organic carnauba wax and natural Essential oils. This also cleans the leather as you go as well as moisturizing and shining your leather. I was not sure how I was going to get this on the cloth as the jar is small, but I just used 2 fingers and swabbed it out on to a clean cloth. I then started applying the cream the the leather. I did the arms and the back first and then worked on the seat, which was the driest. It was easiest to work from the back of the seat cushion to the front.

I applied it over all of the places I had used the serum and rubbed in the cream. It evened out any remaining dark areas and put a nice shine on to the leather. Because this was the first application, I did not buff this after application. I figured that this is going to need a few treatments to try and revitalize this leather. Even with the first application of the chair, I was impressed with the results! Take look at my before and after photos. Nice!

Next up is the sofa. Hopefully I have enough left as the chair used about 1/3 of the jar. I am definitely going to get more so I can work on both of these pieces and have them looking nice and shiny and healthy looking again. I know it will take several treatments, but it has given me better results than any other product I have used. That is a super plus!

The leather serum and cream from Christophe Pourny is a beautiful product that works well on any leather items like belts, furniture, purses and more.
