The product is an Energy Saving Smart Strip Surge Protector which is a really must-have product for any home owner. This is an award-winning surge protector which helps to stop phantom power loss. It automatically turns off connected devices when not in use which saves you money! Matter of fact, it can save you over $39.00 per year!

In the single blue colored outlet is for your computer or television. The two red outlets are for devices that you don’t want to turn off, like the fax machine, dvr cable box or satellite receiver. The regular colored outlets are for devices that you want to save energy on like, printers, monitors, DVD players, game stations, home theater equipment, etc.
Most electronics draw some power even when you turn them off or they sit on idle. For example: a game console uses up to 23 watts of power even when they are turned off. This strip will sense that you have the game consule turned off and will actually turn off power going to it, which saves you money!
I don’t know a whole lot about this type of stuff but my hubby totally understood the concept and had a lot of fun testing it out all over the house. We purchased an old home and have been doing massive remodeling to it. We took the surge protector strip over to the house along with the 3 colored light bulbs that the company sent to us. Hubby plugged it in along the the adapters and colored light bulbs so that he could show me how it works and let me tell you, it works perfectly!
Once we get our new flooring into the family room he will be using this new surge protector in there when we hook up our television, surround sound system, game consoles, etc. He is really excited to have this surge protector as he knows it will save us on our energy costs! yeah!
