I think I have created a monster. My son is a music addict. It all started when I was pregnant with him. I was a sales rep for a major grocery supplier and traveled extensively all over Northern California every day. So I constantly had the radio or a CD playing all day long. I love music myself and that is something I got from my mom. From the time my son was born, he gravitated to music; he was always dancing or singing along and could even sing entire Tim McGraw songs by the time he was 3. LOL Since then, I have introduced him to a world of music and he now listens to anything from Frank Sinatra to Screamo Christian Rock (don’t ask) LOL and is never without his music.
With that in mind, I was looking for a set of noise cancelling headphones so he could really hear and feel the music like never before. I was thrilled when Able Planet allowed me to review a set of their fabulous Travelers Choice Foldable Headphones.
I have known about Able Planet for many years as I used to use their phone headsets at work so to be finding out more about this company and their products is great. I knew my kid would flip when I showed him these headphones and I could barely get them out of the package. These are neat in that they fold for traveling and come with a pouch for protection. They come with different plugs for use in iphone, ipods, audio stereos and other musical devices. It comes with an inline control so you can adjust the volume right on the cord. These are super lightweight and they are so comfortable! I remember using my dad’s headphones many years ago and they were so heavy feeling. Not these!
Once my son plugged in his ipod, a huge smile come across his face! He was in heaven… then once he figured out he needed to actually turn on the headphones, it was even more amazing! I was able to use the headphones for a bit my self and I am can hear why he is so flipped about these headphones. Just because they are the smaller version traveling version of the full size headphones, you do not fell you are missing anything. The sound quality is fantastic! You can hear all of the minor nuances in the music from the deepest bass to the highest sopranos as well as the overall range of the music. It is like going from a solo performer to an orchestra performance. Amazing!
I have been instructed by the child that he now wants a pair of the gaming headphones and the sound isolation headphones for daily use of his iphone. HAHA “Oh ya, mom… my birthday and Christmas is coming!” But in all seriousness, these traveling headphones are the bomb! They are a great size for stowing in your tote or briefcase so they can go with you anywhere. They are also a perfect size for a student and lover of music. The sound quality is fantastic and the price is good. I know that I will be saving up to treat him with at least one of these! Then maybe I will be able to get these back for myself!
