This is truly the solution for young children who wake up too early! When it’s time to get up, there is a day-time “awake” photo that displays to indicate to your child that it is time to start the day and that it’s okay to get up. There is a night-time “sleep” photo that displays to assure the child that it is now time to rest. I love that!
As you all know, we have a 3 year old grand daughter who spends a lot of time with us. Our schedule varies a lot due to her being at her parent’s house, our house and then of course spending 8 hours a day, 4 days a week at Preschool. All of us have and keep different schedules. When she is with us, she had a hard time distinguishing when it was time to get up, time to take a nap, time to go to bed, etc. With that said, we have now solved that problem with this wonderful kid’s clock!
Once it arrived we immediately took it out of the box and read all of the directions. My hubby decided to personalize it by extracting some photos from our digital camera and putting the memory card into this kid’s photo clock. We had photos of Little G during the daytime and photos of her actually laying down and napping so we decided to put them into the clock to help her distinguish the time of day. In addition, I think it helped her to grasp the concept a lot quicker since the majority of photos hubby put on the memory card were actually of her. (a few others are of us, her dog and her parents).
The clock has a nice sized screen so your child can definitely see the photos and the time of day. (she is only 3 so she doesn’t read time yet) but since we used photos of her being awake and photos of her sleeping, she does grasp that really well! It’s very slim and compact in it’s design so it fits nicely on the bedside table or on a shelf/bookcase. There is a little easel stand on the back which I really like that as there is nothing to hang onto your walls or to damage your furniture.
We have been using this product for a week now to help Little G to distinguish the time of day and when she should be up and roaring to go and for when she should be lying down and resting. It has help us tremendously with both of those aspects! It is an extremely well-made clock (she knocked it over with her Nerf ball and it did no damage to it at all!).
I am really looking forward to continuing using it with her and changing up the settings, features and personalization as she ages so that she will grasp the concept of this very cool clock even more! If you are a parent, daycare provider or grandparent like myself, I think you would absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this kid’s clock!
I am going to rate this kid’s clock a 10 stars out of 10 stars on my rating scale. It is extremely well-made, very functional & educational, decorative to look at, easy to program and use and it is priced right at only $89.99. Now some of you might be saying that is too expensive for a kid’s clock but let me tell you, this product is a lot more than just a clock or alarm clock! It is also a digital photo frame and it plays music! Did I tell you that I love it yet? Well, I do and I highly recommend it to all of you!
