popsicle maker from joieshopToday I would like to introduce you to the online store called JoieShop where you can find some of the coolest and unique kitchen gadgets and tools that I have seen in a very long time. When you shop at JoieShop you will find novelty kitchen items, holiday kitchen items, entertaining products and so much more! If you love to cook or you need a gift for that cook on your gift-giving list, you need to check out this really cool online store!

My Review: I was sent 2 different products to try out for all of you. First up is the Monster Fun PopUps Popsicle Maker Mold which retails for $9.99. My 3 year old grand-wee-one spends a lot of time here at our home and one of her favorite things to snack on is indeed popsicles! As you all know, ready-made popsicles at your local store cost a small fortune these days and most are not very healthy. Since I make a lot of homemade juices I knew I could put these to good use!

I decided to make a blend of watermelon juice and kiwi juice which happens to be one of Little G’s favorite juices. After I ran the watermelon and kiwis through my juicer, I poured them into the PopUps molds. There are 4 molds in the kit and they are really easy to use. Just pour in your juice, put the little lid on and place them into your freezer for a few hours. (ours took about 3 1/2 hours to set up). When they are done you simply remove your little protective lid, push up on the plunger and the popsicle rises up! Little G absolutely loves them and the monster faces are way cool.

We also received the Joie Lemon Juicer which is small in size and I like it’s small size as I can easily store it in a drawer, my pantry or in a kitchen cabinet. I cook and bake all of the time and now I can quickly and easily get the fresh lemon juice that I need for various recipes.

To use it: Simply cut your fresh lemon or lime in half. Place a half on top of the lemon juicer and give it a few twists while pressing down. All of the pulp and seeds stay on top while your juice goes down below in the little container. I love that the container is marked in teaspoons, tablespoons, ounces and milliliters so I can quickly see how much I have and what I still need.

Once I am done using it, I quickly and easily rinse it under running tap water to clean it and let it air dry. (it’s not dishwasher safe). While it’s not made for making big pitchers of lemonade, you can certainly use it to make single-serving glasses of lemonade which I did. LOVE this handy dandy kitchen tool!
