How an MBA Helped my Husband Get a Job Promotion

How an MBA Helped my Husband Get a Job Promotion

My husband has worked in the same career field for over 30 years and about 10 years ago he decided to study for his mba full time to get his degree.

At the time it was really hard on our family because he went to school full time and worked at his job full time, but the sacrifice we all made was well worth it.

Once he completed his degree he applied for another position within the company and got it! This new position included better medical benefits, an upgrade in pay and a new job title that he was proud of.

Since receiving his mba degree he has gotten 9 job promotions and now he is the top dog within the company he works for. We are really proud of him as he worked really hard to succeed in his chosen career field.

With that said, he would of never gotten his promotions in his desired career field if he hadn’t went back to school to get his mba degree. He was stuck at the highest position he could go without it, so it was necessary for him to move forward.

Now that he has his degree and is comfortable in his job position, I am thinking about going back to school to get my degree too. We no longer have small children living here in our home so I think it will be much easier on us this time around.

Are any of you currently in school and getting your mba degree? If so, are you finding it to be an easy process or a struggle? Are you getting your degree offline in a traditional school setting or are you getting it online via  virtual school?
