I first want to state that I LOVE dogs…matter of fact, I am a grandmother to an adorable 4 year old female pit bull that my hubby and I adore. We spend a LOT of time with our grand doggy so trust me, I love dogs!
As you all know…Hubby and I were on vacation all of last week and were down at the Jersey Shore. We love the south jersey beaches as they are pristine beautiful beaches!
With that said, there are signs posted all over the beach and on the walkways leading up to the beach that state “Dog owners must clean up any waste from their dogs”. They are printed in English and even include a nice diagram for folks who can’t read English. Further more, Dogs can only be on the beach during certain hours of the day (early in the morning and late in the evening).
Well, on this one particular beautiful day last week hubby and I were over on the beach. We watched a minimum of 8 dog owners over there let their pooches crap all over the beach and not one of them cleaned it up! This totally infuritates me since 99% of the people who are on a beach are on the beach in their bare feet! I find their actions to be totally disgusting!
So, my gripe today is about dog owners who don’t clean up the poop from their dogs! Come on now…when you walk twenty times by a sign that gives you the rules of the beach…read it and clean it up! ugh! Thanks for letting me vent today.

The bad part is there are leashes out that have dog bags that are stored right in the handle (I have one) I don’t mind when my dog poops in my own yard because I can go scoop it later, but if we are out walking , trust me he has the leash with poop bags. Yes, it is yucky to pick up and carry dog doo but I always figure if someone bothers us before I can dispose of it, I got a little extra something to throw at someone 🙂
