The Best Baked Beans Recipe

May 28, 2012 by Classystaff

With the summertime approaching quickly, it brings to my mind cookouts and BBQ’s and lots of fun family get togethers. That always means I am usually on the hunt for recipes that I can make easily to take with me or that will not leave me in the kitchen all the time.

Here is a great recipe for my moms Baked Beans that you are going to love! You can make it ahead and warm it through when you need it. You can also throw it in a slow cooker and let it do its things and take it with you easily. And one of those great bean pots works perfectly with this recipe too!

1 Large can of Pork N Beans or 2 – 30oz cans
2 tablespoons Yellow Mustard
2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar
1/2 cup Ketsup
2 Tablespoons of Dehydrated Onions

Directions: Grab a large casserole dish and pour in the beans. Stir in all of the other ingredients and bake at 350 for 30 minutes or until bubbling and heated through. Serves 6-8

If you use the slow cooker method, allow about 3-4 hours on low or 1-2 hours on high. If you are using a bean crock, you may need to cook it for up to 1 hour in the oven. Delicious!
