The #1 ingredient in Somersault snacks is sunflower seeds! The seeds are the new nut and are the inspiration behind these scrumptious little nuggets. The somersaults have as much protein as almonds with just half the fat. They are a good source of fiber and vitamin E. They are a nut-free snack with just 150 calories and have tons of crunch!
I have always loved snacking on sunflower seeds since I was a child, but as an adult, I wanted something a little more fulfilling. I solved that problem the day I stumbled upon Somersault Snacks!
The company sent us several different flavors of Somersault Snacks to try out for all of you. They are the perfect snack anytime of the year but totally fun to have around during the summertime when you do a lot of traveling or go out for picnics.
* The Pacific Sea Salt Somersaults were my favorite flavor out of all of the ones I tried. I am a huge fan of anything with sea salt flavoring and wow…these nuggets are delicious! They are crunchy and salty…just perfect!
* The Cinnamon Crunch Somersaults were my mother’s favorite! She loves anything with cinnamon and she gobbled these up in a quick hurry. They are made from a whole wheat dough and then have toasted sunflower seeds and grains mixed in.
* The Dutch Cocoa Somersaults were my second favorite flavor that I tried. I love chocolate and these Somersaults are dusted lightly in cocoa powder and taste fabulous! A touch of sweetness with lots of crunch!
* The Salty Pepper Somersaults were my husband’s favorite flavor! He loved them and said that they have just the right amount of salt & pepper and loved the crunchy nugget. He took these to work 2 days in a row to snack on them during his lunch break.
* The Sante Fe Salsa Somersaults were enjoyed too! My 26 yr. old daughter and hubby munched on these during family movie time and within a few short minutes, they devoured the bag. If you like a little spicy “kick” to your snacks, this flavor would be for you!
All of the Somersaults were delicious and my family really enjoyed them. I love that they are a healthy snack and better for us than traditional bags of chips. We thought that the flavors were unique, tasty and fun! We are all about mixing up our snack foods and enjoy unique ones when we find them!
