When you have boys, you come to realize that at a certain age, the spoiling of mom stops or at least slows down. Good night kisses are not cool any more; hugs in public.. No Way! Well, when holidays or special days come up, I really don’t expect anything over and above, but this Mothers Day, my son was so sweet. He made my day.
Now one thing I am used to… on weekends if we don’t have to be up for anything, the kid and the hubby both sleep in late. Half my day is over before they roll out. Well DS got up and decided he was going to make me breakfast.. lunch, I mean. The bad thing was, I really wanted waffles. By the way… I don’t own a waffle maker.. never have. So I piled the kid in the car and went and bought me a waffle maker for my own Mothers Day present. HAHA
Unbeknownst to me… there is an art to making waffles! What a mess. DH ended up coming to help my Son and they finally figured out how the waffle iron worked and I finally got my waffles! They were delicious and totally work waiting for. My son was so patient although I am sure he thought I was crazy. haha
No, this is not the first present I have bought for myself. I usually by myself birthday and Christmas gifts too. Oh and I wrap them and act surprised when I open them too LOL Hubby thinks I am nuts but I say, at least I get what I really want.
My son made sure I got what I wanted this Mothers Day! Hope you did too!
