The great folks over at Marika sent me their Marika Miracles Slimming Capri with Tummy Control to review for all of you. I was excited to get this item since I am an avid walker, hiker and I do practice yoga. This slimming capri comes in the color black and in sizes x-small through x-large. In regards to sizing (for me personally), I would size up one size.
The capris are made out of a combination of nylon and spandex so they will stretch and move with you. I find that this is a great fabrication to wear during the summer or while working out as it seems to “breathe”. The capris have a 21″ long inseam so it’s the classic length in your standard capri pants. There is a 3 1/2″ wide waistband that is lined with a power mesh fabric to give you tummy control.
I find these capris to be very fitted in their fit. I ordered a size x-large as I like a little room in my workout clothing and when they arrived they fit me too snuggly. After debating this for awhile I decided to give them to my mother and they fit her perfectly as you can see in the photos. She has been wearing them for the past week when we go out walking with our walking group and loves them.
She says they stretch and move with her and when she starts to sweat she likes that the fabrication seems to wick the moisture away and she says they dry super quickly. She also likes the tummy panel in the front because she hates that she has the classic mommy bulge (from having children) and feels the capris do a great job of holding that in.
Overall, my mother gives them a 8 out of 10 on our rating scale. She deducted one star for the sizing (Like I said, I would order a size up) and she deducted one star as she would like to see them in additional colors other than black.
You can purchase the capris directly from Marika for only $60.00 and mom says she would definitely buy them if they had additional colors. She recommends them to all of our readers and is enjoying her new capris!
