Little G’s Upcoming 3rd Birthday Party

May 14, 2012 by Shelly

Over the past 3 years you have read hundreds of posts about my Grand-Wee-One who we are now referring to as Little G. Why the name change? Well, Grand-Wee-One is turning 3 years old later this month and is growing up! She is no longer a little baby and is now a “big girl”.

Anyway, we have been busy planning her 3rd Birthday party and have been scrambling around trying to find the perfect birthday invitations, party decorations, ordering balloons, renting a pavilion at the park and finally, ordering the beautiful birthday cake! Wow, so much to do and so little time to get it done!

The hardest part of planning a big party for us has been trying to find the perfect birthday party invitations to go along with our birthday party theme. We visited several offline retailers and couldn’t find the style and design that we wanted, so thankfully…the internet came to our rescue. After just a few short minutes shopping at this one particular online store, we found exactly what we were looking for. yeah!

I am really excited to receive the invitations so that we can get them delivered to all of the invitees. Right now we have 72 people (adults and kids) on our guest list so it’s quite a big party that we are throwing. Yes folks, we host and throw big parties in this family!

When it comes to planning your kid’s birthday parties do you plan small family affairs or do you go all out and plan big events? Do you hold them at your home or do you rent out a venue? How many people do you typically invite to your child’s birthday party? I would love to hear all of your thoughts and ideas!

We prefer to plan small parties and therefore we have them in our home. The number of people we invite to a child’s party depends upon the age of the child.. We might have two parties – one for his/her friends and parents and one for the family.
