How We Found the Perfect Real Estate Agent

How We Found the Perfect Real Estate Agent

Two years ago my husband and I purchased a 60 year old home and although this wasn’t the first home we ever bought, it was definitely a more pleasant buying experience for us. When it comes to purchasing pacific palisades real estate, you really need to find the perfect real estate agent and real estate agency to handle your needs.

When we bought our first home we were newbie buyers and didn’t know anything about purchasing a home, getting a home loan and mortgage or how to even have a home inspected for safety. The first time we bought a home, that real estate agent really roped us in and raked us over the coals. We thought we were getting a great home at a great price and then within 6 months we had a nightmare on our hands. Why you might ask? Well, that real estate agency clearly knew that the home had mold problems and never disclosed it to us. In addition, the basement flooded every time we got 1″ or more of rain.

It took us a full year to finally sell that home and we clearly disclosed to the new buyer all of the problems that the home had. We took a gigantic $18,000 loss on that home! After that experience we decided to rent a townhouse for a few years as it was just easier, although more expensive for us.

After a few years we decided to give home buying and home ownership another try. This time around we did our homework and asked our friends and family for recommendations on a good real estate agency and agent. We finally found the perfect agent to handle our needs and after a few weeks of looking for the perfect home, we bought one! This agent really catered to our needs and found us our dream home! Yeah!

The day we moved into our new home our real estate agent came over with a nice housewarming gift basket and brought us a catered dinner. We thought that was super nice of her and to this day, we recommend her to all of our friends and family too!

Finding the perfect real estate agent is crucial to your home buying success! You want to ask people you know for referrals and check them all out before you make your choice. A good agent will be patient with you and not try to sell you a home that has a slew of problems to just unload it from the marketplace.

Have any of you ever purchased a home? If so, how did you go about finding the perfect real estate agency to handle your buying needs? Do you have any home buying tips to share with us and our readers? If so, please leave your comments below.
