Last year when I gave the boy’s room a makeover, it wasn’t because I had the urge for something new or that they had outgrown what they already had…it was done from sheer necessity.
In short they had trashed the placed.
When it was finished Ms. Ma’am was clearly disappointed in her own boudoir.
She wanted a new look too and was finding things a little unfair since she had taken care of her things and the boy’s had all but obliterated theirs.
I’ve been telling you about baby steps that I’ve been taking in order to try and get her a new feel. With my time and energy being taken up by my new doctrine adventures, progress has been painstakingly slow…..Little Girl has not been pleased, to say the least. She has pouted that she could “trash her stuff up like her brothers do,” maybe then she’s get a room with a view.
Thankfully My Wonderful Walls stepped in a rescued me from the “bad mommy” blues :o)
My Wonderful Walls is online retail business operated by Michael and Stephanie Goins. The idea for the company was born after Michael hand-painted a mural in their older son’s new room.
Knowing that other parents would really enjoy doing this, but most lack the artistic training (that would be me, stick figures all the way) Michael and his wife started designing products that would allow all to create wall murals themselves…….hence, the birth of My Wonderful Walls. Beautiful wall murals that even I can manage made pretty close to my own back yard in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Since I had put up her fairy gazebo and cottage tent picking a design was easy….now I know y’all are gonna think I went with the princess set because she is royalty but she is no ordinary princess…..she is a fairy princess. Fairy princesses live in flower gardens and lush fields so naturally a splendid garden would be the only logical choice.
Putting it up was silly easy!
I could go on and on about how easy applying these brilliantly colored wall stickers is and how much fun we had putting them up or even tell you that little girl loved the main collage so much that after we put them up we HAD to go back and order more of the accessories…..she wanted the picket fence and a few more clouds. I could go on and on but I think the pictures speak for themselves.
I don’t exaggerate when I say it has been life changing. Little girl didn’t spend much time in her room before the mural went up. Maybe it just wasn’t personalized enough but now she has so much ownership that we have to force the child to join us for dinner, I’ve actually worried that she might be spending too much time in her fairy princess garden.
It looks like an entirely different room.
I love that she finally feels like she has her own space and didn’t tear the place up to get it.
My Wonderful Walls is holding an amazing giveaway opportunity of their own….look for it on their site when browsing for one you like.
