Groovy David, voted Best Kids DJ in LA last year by Los Angeles Magazine, announces the release of his new four-song EP, “Kiddie Lounge” on May 4th 2012. Equal parts Michael Bublé, Frank Sinatra, and Curious George, the album has a smooth swinging sound that will dazzle the kids and tickle the parent’s fancy.
David’s innate enthusiasm and whimsical humor translates in this set of tunes, from the self-described “big kid”. He has been working in children’s entertainment for 10 years and released his debut full length “Everybody” in 2010. David also produces the weekly Sounds Sweet Show podcast, which highlights musicians and other inventive spirits who create programming for children.

Our Review: I have a 3 year old grand daughter who loves to dance while listening to music, so we were super excited to get this CD for her. We put the CD in and gave it a listen. Within a few minutes, Little G was up humming and dancing to the CD. I had to play it a few times for her so that she could start to learn the songs, but that’s okay as I love watching her dance and sing. The funny thing is…she thinks the third track called Grandma Sally is Grandma Shelly as she hears everyone call me by my first name LOL it’s so funny to hear her say “play me grandma shelly” hahaha! As you can imagine, that is her favorite track from the CD and her second favorite would be Ice Cream Sundae (I think it’s because she loves ice cream!). Third…would be the Barnyard Boogie and let me tell you, she really can boogie when that song comes on! It’s fun and upbeat for sure! Finally, I would say that it be the I lost my first tooth which has her all concerned about losing a tooth! LOL Kid’s are so darn funny at times!
If you are looking for some great upbeat kid’s music, this Groovy David Kiddie Lounge CD is for you! We found it to be super fun and Little G loves listening to it! Rock on Groovy David!
