Esscents Handcrafted Goats Milk Soaps

May 29, 2012 by Classystaff

I love trying out handmade soaps. I especially like goat’s milk soaps. I was fortunate to get to try out Esscents handcrafted soap to review for you. I chose to try mandarin plum scent in seashell shapes. When I got the soaps I didn’t even want to use them because they were so beautiful. I have my bathroom decorated in a sea theme and have shells and starfish (real ones) on my walls. These soaps fit perfectly with my decor and, oh my, smell so wonderful.

I live in Oklahoma and the wind is blowing most of the time. I have trouble finding soap the doesn’t dry my skin or keep it moisturized. I was very pleased when I showered using this soap from Esscents and found such soft moisturized skin. What a pleasure. And I smelled so good.

If you have read my reviews before you know I have my 19 year old granddaughter living with me for awhile. Of course she wants to try everything I get for review. You know how kids this age know EVERYTHING. Well, I have to tell you she doesn’t know as much as she thought she knows. I was showing my daughter-in-law the soaps and telling her they were goat’s milk when my granddaughter started spitting and gagging. We both became concerned and asked her what was wrong. She said she never drank any goat’s milk and wanted to taste it. She is a red head but we thought it was a blond moment (no disrespect to my favorite blond) and we fell apart laughing. Anyway back to the soaps.

They do not have any harsh chemicals like detergents, sulfates or parabens. The ones I reviewed had coconut oil, palm oil sunflower oil, glycerin, goat’s milk, purified water, sodium hydroxide, sorbitol, sorbitan oleate, soybean protein, fragrance oil, FD&C color and mica. The mica is skin safe and gives a beautiful luster and shimmer. The glycerin makes soap gentle, mild, moisturizing and nourishing. It does not strip skin of moisture and oils like most commercial soaps. The soaps from Esscents come in many different scents, among them are champagne, coconut citrus, honeysuckle, lilac, lettuce, rose bouquet and spring rain. There are many colors to choose from like white, cream, gold, copper, blues, greens, yellows, pinks, peach, orange, and purples.
