Easy 4 Cheese Lasagna Recipe

May 30, 2012 by Classystaff

Easy 4 Cheese Lasagna RecipeI have heard so many times over the years how hard it is to make Lasagna. For many years, I was intimidated about making it, but since I got this recipe and modified it for how my family enjoys it, you will be surprised at how fast you can get this dish prepared and in the oven! And it bakes up super fast too! I love this recipe and I think you will too!

Easy 4 Cheese Lasagna Recipe

1 lb box of Lasagna Noodles … Not the No Bake ones
1.5 lbs of Ground Beef
1 Tablespoon Thyme
1 Tablespoon Basil
2 Tablespoons Garlic or 2 fresh cloves, minced
45 ounces of Tomato Sauce or so
1/3 cup Romano Cheese
1/3 cup Parmesean Cheese
1 small container of Ricotta Cheese
3-4 cups of Mozzarella Cheese
Vegetable or Olive Oil

Directions:

Cook your noodles with a touch of vegetable or olive oil so as not to stick and drain them. In the meantime, brown the beef in a large sauce pan and drain off the fat. Return the meat to the sauce pan. Add in your tomato sauce and all of the seasonings. Let it simmer for 15 minutes.

Take your lasagna pan or a 13×9 pan and add a ladle of sauce at the bottom and then add 1 layer of noodles. On top of the noodles, take a spatula and smear on some of the Ricotta cheese. Ladle on some of the meat sauce and spread it out evenly. Add some Romano, Parmesan and Mozzarella. Top with noodles and then continue the layers until the pan is full and top with a small amount of cheese.

Bake at 400 for 30-40 minutes until the cheese is melted and begins to turn brown. Cut into squares and serve hot.

Hint: You can buy the shakers of Parmesan with a combo of Romano and Parmesan. That is what I use as it is more cost effective and 1 less step.
