Ding the Duck – Has a Boyfriend!!!

If you have been following our blog for the past month you will have read several blog posts where I shared some photos of some local Mallard ducks who are now calling our property their home. For the past few weeks “Ding” the female duck has had 4 male suitors. Well, I think she has finally decided on her man because for the past 3 days she has been hanging out with “Stinger” an awful a lot and we haven’t seen her with the other 3 male contenders.

I am assuming that she has finally chosen her man and hopefully little “dingettes” and little “stingers” will soon be on their way. Yes, her name is “Ding” and the man she has decided on is named “Stinger”. LOL LOL LOL yes we name things around here!

I am going to keep watching because last year we were blessed with 7 ducklings so I am hoping for another healthy batch soon! You go Ding girl!
