I have been lucky to have the opportunity in my life to live in many places. One of the was these places was the Far East where bamboo is prevalent and so many items are created using the bamboo plant. It is a very eco friendly wood that grows quickly so the supply is not diminished. My mom always had these great bamboo salad bowls that we served and ate our salad in every single day and now 40 years later, they are still in great shape and usable.

I was sent a large Bamboo salad bowl to review and what was fabulous is that they come in a choice of colors. Oh I had a tough time choosing and I received a lovely Lime colored bowl that works perfectly with the dining table decor and my salads look fabulous in it too!
I love the sturdiness of the Bamboo and I know that this bowl is going to out live me and be in use for 40+ years, just like my moms. These lovely bowls stand up to wear and tear and clean up super easily. I just love my bowl and celebrated my mom by making her favorite salad in it…. butter lettuce with a vinegar and oil and German herb dressing. It was a fabulous way to break in the new bowl.
