My almost Wordless Wednesday post today is a photo I took out of my sliding glass patio doors of this one particular very aggressive squirrel. We have several bird feeders, bird houses and 2 bird baths in our backyard and every day I have a gang of squirrels that show up to raid all of the bird food.
Well, this one particular squirrel who my grand daughter named “Charlie” is super aggressive! He chases off all of the birds and the other squirrels and acts like he owns my backyard. He raids everything and I mean everything! Two of our bird feeders are supposed to be “squirrel proof” but yet Charlie figured out a way to break into them.
The photo above shows Charlie eating all of the bird food that he knocked out of the bird feeder that is hanging on a shepard’s hook above his head. He gets up onto our 6ft. high wooden fence and jumps on top of the bird feeder so that it spills the food out of the feeder and onto the ground. Gosh, he is super smart! ugh!
Charlie is NOT afraid of people and will not hesitate to hiss at us and chase us all around our yard or back inside our door. He is pretty nasty and we are thinking about calling the wildlife folks to see if they can come and humanely trap him and relocate him to another backyard as we are tired of dealing with him!
Do any of you have problems with squirrels? I love wildlife and I think squirrels are pretty to look at it but this particular one is driving us totally bonkers with his shannigans!
