Alaska Glacial Mud at SpaStation

May 3, 2012 by Classystaff

I have had the express pleasure of trying so many different skincare products over the years and I have been impressed by many. So many of them work great with chemicals and additives and other work fabulously with pure natural ingredients that are simplistic and refreshing. In all of my years, and I am old, I have never had a mineral mud mask. Yes, yes I know it is hard to believe, but I got to have some fun with our next sponsors product.

I have been having so much fun with the folks at the SpaStation over the past few months. I have gotten some pretty cool new products to sample for you and this one is really neat. Alaska Glacial Mud Co has some pretty awesome mud they call the Glacial Facial! Love it. It is a purifying mineral mud masque that comes in a jar and in several scents. I am excited to tell you about my glacial facial. OOh and they sent me their Exfoliating Mineral Bar Soap to check out too!

I tried out the Alaska Glacial Mud Facial Purifying Mineral Mud Masque that comes in a 3.5 oz jar. According to the site: This Glacial Masque is made with the most mineral-rich, pure glacial clay in the world, sustainably hand-carved from the remote waters of the Copper River Delta in Alaska. It’s enriched with a special combination of certified organic and wildcrafted botanical extracts from the Pacific Northwest that are chosen for their moisturizing, skin-softening, anti-aging, and immunoprotective properties. Gentle and balanced for all skin types. Laboratory-tested, allergy-free, does not cause irritation. Paraben-free. No synthetic fragrances, colors, or fillers. No animal by-products or testing.

I didn’t have an old makeup brush available so I just spread it all over my face in equal amounts. It is a green mud so I ended up looking like I was in camouflage or something. LOL This mud is super smooth and felt wonderful to touch. It dried pretty quickly and I could feel it tightening a bit. I hopped in the shower and the mud rinsed off very easily. After drying off, I was so surprised at how my face felt. It was so soft feeling. I had a tiny bit of tightness in a few areas, but my face was amazing feeling. I never knew what a mud masque like this would do! How cool is that? I Love this!!!!

Next I tried the Alaska Glacial Mandarin Lemongrass Lavender Exfoliating Mineral Soap Bar. The site says:This exfoliating mineral soap bar is supercharged with Alaska glacial mineral mud to remove tough dirt, exfoliate dead skin cells, detoxify pores, cleanse, and help defend against breakouts. Suitable for the entire body, especially great for the face, shaving, and as a shampoo replacement. Gentle and balanced for all skin types.

The lovely bar has a nice lather and felt great on my skin. I like the mellow scent and it did a fabulous job cleansing. It contains beautiful high quality oils along with the gorgeous mud from the Copper River Delta on Alaska’s Pacific coast. The mud that Alaska Glacial Mud Co. uses contains amazing minerals and elements from the surrounding mountains and glaciers. The clay is known to contain particles that absorb toxins and exfoliate dead skin. This is a great bar of soap… and I hate calling it soap because it is so much more than that! My skin is happy!

Swing by the Spa Station for more products from Alaska Glacial Mud Company as well as their thousands of premium spa products for your home and body. It is a fabulous place to shop!
