Act of Valor DVD Available on June 5th + Movie Review

Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment in cooperation with Relativity Media and The Bandito Brothers pledged today to give a portion of the proceeds from the ACT OF VALOR Blu-ray and DVD to Operation Homefront. Operation Homefront is a national non-profit organization that provides emergency financial and other assistance to the families of our service members and wounded warriors. ACT OF VALOR will be available on Blu-ray Combo Pack and DVD everywhere June 5th.

Produced and directed by former Baja 1000 champion Mike “Mouse” McCoy and former stuntman Scott Waugh, and written by Kurt Johnstad (300), the film opened #1 in America when it was theatrically-released by Relativity Media on February 24, 2012. The ACT OF VALOR Blu-ray and DVD arrive June 5th just in time for Father’s Day.

Our Thoughts: Hubby and I received a promotional copy of the Act of Valor DVD movie to review for all of you. I am a HUGE military and action movie buff and it’s the genre of movies that I prefer to watch. My husband on the other hands isn’t too fond of military style movies so I was a little worried that he wouldn’t like this movie. However, I was wrong because he LOVED IT!

This movie is about real active duty Navy Seals and is a fictionalized account of a real Navy Seal operation. Within 5 minutes of the movie starting I was already hooked and drawn in which is important for me as I usually decided within 30 minutes if I like a movie or not. There are a few actors who are in the cast right alongside the active duty Navy Seals and let me tell you, acting from everyone involved was excellent.

As the story goes along you are really drawn into it and cheering on the Navy Seals (aka the good guys) and you get to know they pretty well in this movie. The movie has some really beautiful location shots and the action is absolutely fantastic. At times I was on the edge of my sofa waiting for the next scene to happen. I love movies like that!

I don’t want to give away too much of the storyline plot to all of you because I want you to go out and buy it or rent it once it’s available on June 5th. It’s absolutely fantastic and since receiving it we have watched it 3 times and every time we watch it…we see or learn something new. I give this movie a huge 2 thumbs up and I highly recommend it to all of you!
