We had the opportunity to introduce to you this jewelry designer a few weeks ago with her beautiful headache free headbands. So you know that when it comes to recycling and upcycling products I love the fact that I am supporting someone that can take an item that would be someones trash and creating something new and beautiful with it. With that, I have a designer that I want to share with you today. Victoria Tane creates sustainable eco-friendly jewelry hand made from upcycled, vintage and recycled elements. Victoria uses found objects to make elegant, wearable art.
Victoria Tane has a gorgeous selection of fabulous jewelry pieces that are just amazing works of art. I am so excited to share with you some of her works of art that you can wear. I was sent a gorgeous necklace and earrings for review today and let me tell you, I am in love with the design!
The Necklace is super long and it is made from recycled glass (I think its glass anyway)that has a bit of facet cuts so you can get some shimmer and shine with assorted silver chains and crystals. The style and color of the chains remind me of an old Victorian era necklace for some reason although it is a combination of chains from various eras and designs that are blended together. A patchwork of sorts. The length is awesome as you can double it or triple it to wear shorter or just wear it in one long necklace. A wonderful accessory to any outfit you have! I Love this!
I was also send a beautiful pair of drop earrings that have been remade from recycled beads of some sort. The large balls are a facet cut in a smoky color and the smaller beads are a blueish smokey topaz color all with lovely bronze and gold findings. Beautiful!
It is nice to see that some trash has become a treasure to others! How fun it is to see what someone can do with an artistic flair and a vision for beautiful things to wear! I hope you enjoy the products from Victoria Tane as much as I do!
