Too Many Teens and TV’s in the House?

April 6, 2012 by Classystaff

Now that my son is growing up, too fast I might add, he has been bugging us to put a satellite box in his room. We have been resisting for many years because we feel he needs to be out with the family and not locked in his room all day playing video games online or watching TV for all hours of the night. But lately, I might be thinking that he may soon get his wish as my house becomes overrun with teenage boys!

So without him knowing it, we have been doing some research into another dx3 direct tv box so that the parents can maybe have some time in living room watching the big television instead of him and all of his friends taking over the living space. LOL Seems the tables got reversed somehow. Not sure how that happened.

When the “guys” come over, hubby and I know that we are busted to the back because the boys get so loud and rowdy playing their games and watching direct tv. We cannot hardly take it any more. Thankfully our satellite service provider, which is similar to the service provided by dx3, is prepared with a new box and quickly comes out to set up the boy child’s room.

Now we are moving his room around a bit so we can get him some additional room. We bought an inexpensive TV and we are packing up the Xbox and moving him into the back! YAY Am I really able to watch TV on a Friday night again in my own living room? Say it ain’t so! I do not know who is more excited, my hubby and I or the kids? HA! We are really happy the teens love to hang out at our house now the we have some of our peace and quiet back. In this house, there cannot be too many teens or TV’s!
