I don’t know about you but when my hubby and I were married oh so many years ago, we couldn’t afford the wedding bands that we really wanted. We always said that some day we would be in a position to be able to replace them and even upgrade them for something more impressive than the bands we had when we said our vows.
Over the years we have been able to upgrade my engagement stone to a bigger one and then we had the original stone set into a lovely ring for my husband that he wears on his right hand. That was an awesome stone for the size and it works perfectly for an attractive mans ring.
We are thinking about upgrading my wedding band and his wedding band for our next big anniversary that is coming up soon. 20 years! Man, that has flown by. So I started searching around for some new styles that have hit the market in the past 20 years and found a beautiful site online called Apples of Gold. They have a lovely selection of bands and rings that are to die for. They even have amazing vintage styles that take your breath away. I am liking what I see!
I have found some beautiful rings that I think my hubby would love to wear. Instead of the solid gold band he currently has I was thinking about a gorgeous hammered gold ring that I saw on their site. Oh it is nice and I think hubby would like that. They also have a fabulous channel set diamond ring he would love too!
I also was looking at some of the beautiful diamond rings for me and I have found so many that I have having a hard time deciding what style I want to get. They have an amazing 3 ring stacking set that would look so awesome, but I think my hand it too small for that along with my engagement ring, so I think just a simple anniversary style band would look awesome. I did find a sweet band that I would like to get for my right hand just because I love it so much. Hey, my birthday is coming up too! Oh, Honey…
Since I have been looking around a bit, I have been hearing some resistance from others about changing bands. Some say that it is bad luck to switch out your bands; others say its a great idea. I kind of have mixed feelings but in the end I think that it is the vows that you take the make the marriage and the rings are a symbol of your vow so I think I am okay with that. What do you think? Would you or have you switched out your rings?
