Last year when hurricane Irene and tropical storm Lee went through our area they really tore up my front and back yards. We had some wind damage but most of the damage we had was flooding, lots and lots of flooding!
Before winter set in we spent hours upon hours cleaning up our yards and gardens which meant I had to trim back all of my Azalea bushes and Rose bushes to almost nothing.
Well, I didn’t think I would get any blooms from the rose bush this year as it was looking pretty shabby all winter and spring long. However, a few days ago I finally noticed a nice closed bud and today, it bloomed! yeah! I am doing the happy dance!
Since Chris has to brag to all of you about her glorious rose bush in her backyard, I thought I would brag about my one lonely blooming rose bud! LOL So Chris….take that! I finally got a rose my friend!
