With 2 guys in the house that shave and myself too, we tend to go through a lot of razorblades. My hubby does have an electric razor but he prefers the close shave that a blade gives him. The main issue is that disposable razors and replacement blades don’t last very long and it costs a small fortune to keep them on hand.
There is a neat product out called the MagnaBlade. This is a patented product that magnetically sharpens razor blades and extends its life and performance. When you use the MagnaBlade, you can use the same razor for up to 12 weeks which is great for reducing waste and saving big money. This device requires no batteries and starts working right away. I was intrigued.
So I get the package and it is just a docking port looking thing that you place your razor into. You can hang it on the wall in the shower or elsewhere or just leave it on the counter. You simple place your razor into the docking thing. That’s it… or what appears to be it. Apparently from the scientific point of view, there are some ceramic magnets inside this little docking station that interact with the iron in the blade that keep them sharper for a longer amount of time. So looking at it really means nothing. It’s what’s going on inside this little thing that is neat.
Hubby started using it after we got the MagnaBlade and used the razor for the past week without having to change it out. It has kept the blades sharp whereas by now, he would have changed the razor. This little magnetic razor blade sharpener is doing its thing! I know he was surprised.
what I am going to like is the economical part of this. Extending the razor blades means a nice savings for us and it is also an awesome Green product too!
