I love to make smoothie recipes for my family and myself. We have a few that we enjoy quite often and I thought I would share a few with you.
Orange Tropical Smoothie
Delightful and refreshing!
1 whole orange peeled, divided into sections
1/3 c. canned (drained) or fresh pineapple chunks
1/2 c. vanilla yogurt
Several ice cubes
Splash of orange juice, if too thick
Place all ingredients into a blender and blend well. Makes 12 ounces.
Green Apple Smoothie
Very healthy and delicious tasting!
3 stalks of fresh Kale leaves – tender part of the stalk is ok
2 stalks celery, cut
1 large apple, cored and sliced or 1-2 small apples, cored and sliced
Orange Juice, fresh squeezed, not from concentrate
Place a small amount of orange juice in the blender and start it on low. Gradually increase the speed as you add in the kale, celery and apple pieces. Add more orange juice to blend to the desired thickness.
