Enjoying the Rose Explosion

I have a gorgeous rose bush that was supposed to be a regular rose that blooms multiple times a year. It turned out to be a gigantic climber that only blooms once a year. Since it it positioned right by my pool, I have trained it to climb the fence and not hang out over the pool and walkway. It is kind of a pain however. The only time I really enjoy it is when it blooms. Right now with the spring sun and rain, it has gone crazy! I seriously need to cut this thing back! I wish it smelled as good as it looks!
