Just like most women that I know, I am a huge jewelry fanatic! I have been building a massive jewelry collection for the past 44 years, and it gets bigger and better every year!
For the past 9 months or so, I have been really concentrating on adding some beautiful art deco jewelry like this Art Deco Engagement Ring, that I saw in an antique store a few months ago. The ring was done in platinum with a big solitaire old European cut diamond (reminds me of today’s emerald cut diamonds) and surrounding it were 16 beautiful small blue diamonds. It was breathtaking to say the least!
I would of loved to have added that ring to my art deco jewelry collection but at the time, I didn’t have $5,800 and when I did, the ring was gone. Shucks, my loss but someone else got a very beautiful antique ring!
Then last weekend hubby and I went up north for a day trip and we found a little antique jewelry store that was off the beaten path. We went inside that store and within 15 minutes, I had purchase a beautiful pair of Art Deco styled earrings.
The earrings are set in platinum and have a 1 carat faceted blue sapphire in each earring that just sparkles beyond belief. Surrounding each sapphire are pave set white diamonds that total a .50 carat per earring. These Art Deco style earrings remind me of something Princess Diana would of loved since she adored sapphires. I am so pleased to have added them to my jewelry collection.
Now I am on a mission to save up my money again as I would love to add an Art Deco styled sapphire and diamond bracelet to my collection to go with some other pieces that I own. I am hoping to pass down my jewelry collection to my adult daughter and little grand daughter, as I think they would absolutely love to receive it someday in the future.
