Today I would like to introduce you to the company called SallyeAnder Soaps who has been in business for the past 28 years. This wonderful company sells handmade, natural, bath and body care items for your entire family. All of their soaps and cremes are hypo-allergenic and created with edible ingredients so that they can be used on newborn babies.
My Review: The company sent me and my family several different products to try out for all of you. First up is the No-Bite-Me Cream that is a preventive and after-bite treatment. The cream is DEET-Free and safe for use on children. As you all know, I have an almost 3 year old grand-wee-one who loves to play outdoors. She is fair skinned and the gnats and mosquito’s seem to love her, although…she doesn’t love them back! This cream can provide up to 4 hours of bug relief so we were excited to try it. I dotted some of the cream onto her arms and legs, then gently rubbed it in. She then went out to play with her pappy for the next 90 minutes or so and when she came back in, only 1 bite! Usually if she is in the backyard with him while he is gardening, she gets attacked by bugs but not this time!
The next product that we got to try out was the Chocolate Raspberry Soap which is available in a 2 oz. sized bar. This soap is a chocoholic’s dream ~ rich in cocoa butter and aloe, both great ingredients to help moisturize and cleanse your skin. I admit, I am a chocoholic and I love raspberries (grow those in my garden) so I was all over this soap! I love the lather, the fragrance and how it just glides across my body when showering. It doesn’t leave any soapy residue behind and my skin feels squeaky clean after using it.
The product we got to try out was the Citrus Butter Soap that is enriched with shea and cocoa butter. This soap bar comes in a 1/4 lb. bar size so it will last a very long time! This is a citrus scented soap that can be used on the face and/or body. I love washing my face with a good facial soap so this bar quickly became my new face soap! I love how this soap lathers (not too much lather, but enough to wash your face with). The light citrus scent is very pleasing to the sense and it washes off quickly and cleanly, leaving no soapy residue behind. In addition, some soaps will make my skin feel tight when I use them to wash my face, this one does NOT do that! I love it and now my hubby is also using it to wash his face! yeah!
The next product really intrigued me because I never thought about using a bar soap to help treat stains on our clothing before laundering them. The product is called HOGWASH! and comes in a super-sized 6 oz. bar. It is made from their soap and contains lots of cornmeal for scrubbing. It’s the perfect scrub for mechanics, gardeners and kids. To use it: wet the soap and the stain on your clothing, gently work soap into the stain, using a gentle brush if necessary (I used an old toothbrush). Then launder your clothing as you normally would. I used this soap on my hubby’s shirt which had a recent (hours earlier) ketchup stain. I used it as directed and then tossed the shirt into my washing machine and went about my business. After the laundry was done drying, I checked on the stain. It was 95% gone. I decided to treat the stain for a second time using the HOGWASH! and washed it again. After the second washing, it was barely even there! yeah! I love that I can quit using those harsh chemical stain treatments in our laundry now and go with this all natural stain lifter soap!
