We Have Been Checking Out Florida Retirement Communities
My husband and I are looking to retire within the next 10 years and when we do, we want to move south! For the past week, we have been checking out a variety of Florida Retirement Communities, such as 55+ Florida Retirement Communities, and are highly considering one for our future residency.
We found one particular retirement community that has their own hair salon, general store, fitness club, dog run, a nice spa with full spa-services, 24 hours a day maintenance service and beautifully landscaped gardens. Wow, I didn’t know that retirement communities were like that so I am definitely impressed.
My husband enjoys playing a lot of golf so that is one of the reasons we are considering retiring to Florida and living in or near one of their many golf communities. With the weather being beautiful in Florida year round…he can really get out there and enjoy a good golf game more often.
I love that Florida offers such fun resort-style retirement living for seniors and it is something that interests us. We were even telling my 65 year old mother about it and she said that when we move to Florida she wants to come along too!
The place that we found most interesting is a place called Devonshire in Palm Beach Gardens and it looks absolutely beautiful. They boast that they are a “Senior Retirement Community with a Young Attitude” and from the research we did, it sure looks that way!
One of the things we found very impressive about Devonshire is that they have 5 on-site restaurants and pubs that the residents can enjoy. I read some of the resident’s reviews about the meals at these 5 eateries and they all sounded great! Wow, I think that is fabulous because when I get older…I certainly don’t want to cook every day!
Devonshire in Palm Beach Gardens sounds like a great place to retire to and it seems like they have fantastic senior living residences. Hubby and I are hoping to check them out when we take our trip down to Florida in September so I will let you all know what we thought once we get back.
