Today I would like to introduce you to the company called Spoonful of Comfort who sells gourmet soups, dinner rolls, cookies and other foodie and non-foodie soothing gifts. When a friend or loved one needs a little comforting you can order their products and have them shipped directly to your loved one.
These gourmet food gifts are great to send to a new mom, someone who is sick, to someone who just lost a loved one or to anyone who might just be having a hard time in life. If you ask me, I would rather receive items from Spoonful of Comfort when I am sick than receive flowers that just die in a few days.
The great folks over at Spoonful of Comfort sent me 1 jar of their homemade chicken noodle soup, 6 freshly baked dinner rolls and 6 chewy oatmeal raisin cookies to review for all of you. The package arrived quickly and everything was packaged in a cooler with ice.
We decided to enjoy the comfort food that very same night for dinner since I had been sick all week long. It was super nice to have an evening off from cooking! We poured the soup into a kettle and heated it up on the stove. We warmed up the dinner rolls and smothered them in some cinnamon and butter. We sat down to enjoy our dinner and WOW, we were surprised at how delicious everything tasted!
The soup had big chunks of white meat chicken, tender noodles, nice rounds of carrots and some great celery too! The soup was absolutely delicious, some of the best tasting chicken noodle soup I have ever had! The dinner rolls were absolutely perfect and you would of sworn that I had baked them myself earlier that day. The oatmeal raisin cookies tasted fresh and had nice big, plump, juicy raisins in them. My husband and I both just raved and raved about how delicious our dinner tasted. We give this company a BIG 2 thumbs up and when we need to send some “soothing and comforting” gifts, we will be using this company!
