My Review: The generous folks over at “I See Me” sent me their new My Very Happy Birthday personalized book for girls to review for all of you. This book is a hardcover book with 20 durable board pages inside and is perfectly sized (6″ by 6″) for little toddler hands.
We had our book personalized for the Grand-Wee-One who will be celebrating her third birthday in late May. The front cover of the book says “Gianna’s Very Happy 3rd Birthday!” and the picture of the birthday cake has her name and 3 lit candles. Isn’t the cover cute? I think so! Inside the front cover is personalized too and it says “This book was made especially for Gianna (middle name) (last name) who arrived on May 29th, 2009, with love from, Nanny and Pappy Hill, 2012”. awww, that makes me smile!
Within the interior pages of the book you will find their birthday number (in our case the number 3) on five pages. You will also find your child’s name sprinkled throughout the story on several pages too. Children love to hear stories and/or read stories that are personalized like this because hearing their name in the story makes them feel super special. (and they are special!).
The story is super sweet and flows very nicely from start to finish. I love the cute, colorful and whimsical illustrations in this book which were done by artist Mati McDonough. The book is extremely well-made from quality materials. When you hold this book you know it is something special and trust me…we love this book!
We have reviewed several books from the “I See Me” company the past few months and we have loved them all. This book in particular has special meaning for me since I was in the delivery room when our grand-wee-one was born and I held her within 5 minutes of her arrival. Happy Birthday Grand-Wee-One!
