My 18 year old nephew will be graduating from high school come May of this year and is already thinking about what type of career he wants to have once he leaves high school.
One of the things he has been looking into is becoming an IRS Tax Preparer and looking to take an enrolled agent exam. Caleb has always been good with math and numbers (he is a math genius), so I think this might be a good career fit for him.
I found some great information online about the enrolled agent examination and after looking it over, I passed the information to him via my sister-in-law. My SIL is also a math genius and she works in the accounting field, so I can see why he is interested in this type of career.
I do hope he goes into the field if that is what he wants to do because he could help my husband and I with our taxes each year, which are always a pain in the butt to prepare. It sure would be nice to have a tax preparer in the family to handle all of our taxes every year!
Have any of you ever worked for the IRS? If so, did you like working for them? I know most of us dread tax season, especially if you work from home and always have to pay-in to Uncle Sam.
