Making Your Own Milk Chocolate Covered Pretzels

March 3, 2012 by Shelly

Homemade Chocolate Covered Pretzels RecipeToday I am entertaining some friends here at our home and I wanted to serve some milk chocolate covered pretzels along with some fudge that I had made. I decided to make my own chocolate covered pretzels instead of buying them which is cheaper and they are fresher!  Here is how I did it!

Milk Chocolate Covered Pretzels Recipe

1 container Baker’s Milk Chocolate
1 bag mini hard lightly salted pretzels
1 pair of clean old Tweezers
Waxed paper or a Silicone non-stick baking mat

I followed the directions on the container of Baker’s chocolate and melted my milk chocolate in the microwave in the plastic container that it comes in. I used my tweezers (easier to use tweezers than tongs since the pretzels are so small). I dipped them into the melted chocolate and then held them over the container for about a minute to allow the excess chocolate to run back into the container. I then laid them out onto my silicone nonstick baking mat to firm up. (took 1 to 1 1/2 hours for them all to get firm but you could speed that up by placing your tray of pretzels into the refrigerator for 30 minutes).

You could use milk chocolate, dark chocolate or white chocolate. You could even melt some white chocolate and drizzle it over the milk or dark chocolate. They taste great and were super easy to make.
