Gourmet Pasta Sauces from Dave’s Gourmet

March 20, 2012 by Shelly

Daves Gourmet Pasta SaucesToday I would like to introduce you to the company called Dave’s Gourmet who makes a line of gourmet pasta sauces that are absolutely delicious! Besides their yummy gourmet pasta sauces you will also find a line of hot sauces, spices, drink mixes, spicy snacks, flavored salts and various foodie gift items.

The generous folks over at Dave’s Gourmet sent me 3 jars of their gourmet pasta sauces to review for all of you and let me tell you…hubby was super excited to try them all out since he is 100% Italian.

The Organic Red Heirloom Pasta Sauce comes in a 25.5 oz. glass jar so it is enough sauce to make a nice sized family meal. This is a fresh-tasting pasta sauce featuring garlic, fresh herbs and organic heirloom tomatoes. With this sauce we made some old-fashioned ziti one night for dinner and throughout the entire meal my husband just raved and raved about this sauce. It tasted freshly made and had the perfect blend of spices and herbs.

The Masala Marinara Pasta Sauce comes in a 25.5 oz. glass jar so it is enough sauce to make a nice sized family meal. This  delicious and  innovative pasta sauce pairs the wonderful western flavors of a classic marinara with the spices (masala), lime, and coconut flavors of the South Asian world. This sauce is fantastic with pasta, rice, chicken, pork, lamb, seafood, and vegetables. We decided to use this sauce over some skinless boneless chicken breasts (as a marinade) and wow….they were delicious! (just place your chicken breasts into a casserole dish along with the entire bottle of sauce and let bake in a 350 degree oven for about 50 minutes).

The Butternut Squash Pasta Sauce comes in a 25.5 oz. glass jar so it is enough sauce to make a nice sized family meal. This pasta sauce was the winner at the New York Fancy Food Show in 2009 as the BEST PASTA SAUCE! This is an all-natural sauce made from delicious butternut squash, garlic, onions, roasted red pepper along with a few other tasty ingredients. This a great sauce to use when making ravioli, tortellini or with lasagna. We purchased some frozen premade tortellini at the store and decided to use the sauce with that. I have never tried a butternut squash sauce before and was pleasantly surprised to see that I liked it. It is different but a good different!

All of the 3 gourmet pasta sauces that we tried from Dave’s Gourmet were delicious. We love that they tasted fresh, had unique & different flavors to them and they are super convenient to use! We would like to thank Dave’s Gourmet for participating in this product review here on our blog. Your sauces rock!
