Fun, Flirty MadCapz Women’s Cap
Today, I would like to introduce you to Madcapz, a company founded by Carrie Bell, whose personal need, when she was sick and losing her hair from Grave’s Disease, began a quest for a fun feminine baseball cap to wear. After a frustrating, and unsuccessful search, she decided to design and create her own. Madcapz caps and visors are specifically designed, by a woman, for a woman’s comfort, fit and fashion.
My Review: I was given my choice of Madcapz to review, and chose the Squiggles MadCapz. It came wrapped in pretty purple tissue paper, in a sturdy box – so it was well protected, and not crushed at all. When I took it out of the tissue wrapping, I was immediately impressed with the brilliant royal blue color, just as it’s product listing on the Madcapz website had shown. The cap is light weight, and not stiff at all (except for the bill, which is to be expected. 😉 )
There really are very few hat styles that I feel I look good in, and aside from a company-cap I purchased when I was a scrapbook consultant (most of us were women so it was this same style), I too had not been able to find another baseball cap that appealed to me. That is until I was introduced to Madcapz. I have worn this out several times over the last week, and have been very happy with it!
I love how this hat fits my head! We’ve had the perfect weather here for me to wear it out to school pick-up, and I’ve received a couple of compliments from the other “playground Moms”. One said it looks like a solid royal blue cap from a distance, but as she got closer she noticed the squiggles. I appreciate the 2 3/4 inch bill – long enough to keep the sun out of my eyes, yet not obstruct my view. The lightweight cotton material is breathable, so I wasn’t sweaty with it on in our 80 degree heat this past week.
Madcapz are entirely manufactured here in the USA. They are made with soft 100% cotton fabric and are machine washable. The caps offer a low profile fit so the tops sits closer to your head than a regular baseball cap. No stiff boxy look like lots of most ball caps have. There is an adjustable strap in back that makes sizing easy, even a hole for ponytails – very important, I know, when you have long hair.
You can purchase Madcapz caps and visors in stores throughout the US and internationally, or purchase through their website. There are over 20 fun designs – prints, solids, florals, polkadots, animals – so anyone is sure to find a design to fit their personality. The caps retail for $22.00, and the visors retail for $19.00.
Madcapz are popular among women dealing with hair loss, and are a great gift. Plus, their pink designs are perfect for breast cancer awareness events. Madcapz offers discount pricing for tournaments, charity events, & teams.
Thank you to Madcapz for sending me their Squiggles design women’s cap to review for all of you. It has officially become my “go to” baseball cap!
