Today I get to talk to all of you about some fantastic kid’s books from National Geographic Kids which I feel are just fantastic! I have always been a big reader and I have passed down my love for reading to my daughter and now my little grand daughter.
The great folks over at National Geographic sent us 6 books to review for all of you so I am going to tell you a little bit about each one of them.
1. Everything Ancient Egypt is a softcover 64 page book by Crispin Boyer with Egyptologist James P. Allen. This is a fantastic educational book that teaches children all about Egypt with fun facts, colorful photos and tons of fun packed within the book’s pages.
2. Everything Dolphins is a softcover 64 page book by Elizabeth Carney with National Geographic Explorer Flip Nicklin. This is another fantastic educational book that teaches children all about dolphins with facts, colorful photos and tons of fun packed within the book’s pages. This book is one of our favorites since we love dolphins and the photographs in this particular book are just beautiful.
3. Ultimate Weird But True – 1,000 Wild & Wacky Facts & Photos is a large 192 page hardcover book. This wonderful book is jam-packed with amazing facts and eye-popping photos that prove truth really is stranger than fiction. Here is something we learned from the book: Did you know that a great white shark can weigh as much as 15 gorillas? Wow!!! You will find a slew of great educational facts inside this book and even adults will enjoy it.
4. The National Geographic Bee – Ultimate Fact Book on Countries A to Z is a softcover 384 page book. This book is by Andrew Wojtanik who was the 2004 National Champion in the Geographic Bee. This book is jam-packed with geographic information on the world’s 195 countries! This is a great book and I feel every child should have this book in their library of books because it will help them with their geography in school and the book helps to make geography fun!
5. From National Geographic Little Kids is the Look & Learn Match board book for preschoolers. This series of books is geared towards kids ages 1-4 years in age. I love this book, it is perfectly sized for little hands and helps to teach your child how to match up animals, colors, shapes, etc.
6. From National Geographic Little Kids is the Look & Learn Count board book for preschoolers. Again, this series of books is geared towards kids ages 1-4 years of age. The grand-wee-one loves to count and already counts up to 25 so this book has been really fun to read with her and I love that it’s interactive! yeah!
All 6 of these books that we reviewed are fantastic! I love adding educational books to our grandchild’s, god son’s and nephew’s libraries and these books rock! They are all super fun, full of educational facts and we love the photography in each one. We highly recommend that you check out National Geographic Kids for more information.
We would like to thank National Geographic Kids and the PR company that we are working with for sending us the books to review for all of you!
