Using Air Purifiers to Cleanup the Air Inside Your Home

Here on the North East coastline our winter weather has been really bizarre this year. For a few days we will have above normal temperatures near 50 degrees and then a storm front comes through and slaps up back down into the 20’s with snow and/or ice. I don’t think mother nature is getting her winter act together this year!

With all of that said…we have been spending way too much time indoors this winter season and I have noticed that I have had an increase in sinus infections this year. I know that a lot of it has to do with no fresh and clean air coming into our home because during the spring, summer and fall seasons I don’t get sinus infections! I contribute that to the fact that we spend a lot of time outdoors and when indoors I often have our windows open allowing fresh air to stream in.

I have been doing a lot of thinking about this and I think I am going to go out and purchase an air purifier and give that a try. I was doing some research online and found some great air purifier reviews which I am going to use to help guide me in purchasing one to suit my specific needs. I love reading reviews as I find them very helpful when selecting products that I want to purchase.

In addition, I found a great article on indoor air quality that I think you all need to check out. It’s an informative read and I learned a lot about indoor air pollution! For example, did you all know that carbon monoxide is an odorless and colorless gas that can cause sudden illness? It can also kill people if it is not detected and corrected early! I also learned about mold and that you need to eliminate household moisture and cleanup mold problems right away as they can also cause breathing problems and illnesses.

Have any of you ever purchased an air purifier and if so, what kind did you get? I would love to received some recommendations so please feel free to leave me a few comments below. Thanks!
