Quack, Quack, Quack – Meet the New Additions to Our Family!

My mother and I are both avid walkers and we try to get out a few times a week to take 2 to 3 mile walks. Yesterday we headed out for one of our weekly walks and as we approached one of the two streams that run through our property we found 3 new friends!

Mr. Max, Mr. Bob and Mrs. Ding (the names we have given to our 3 new Mallard Ducks!). I am not sure where these ducks came from but they are very people friendly. We found Mrs. Ding’s nest near the edge of the creek so I guess she will be having & raising some babies on our property this spring. (no eggs in the nest yet…but those 2 male ducks were chasing her around something fierce yesterday).

Today we saw them again so I guess they are sticking around and going to be new additions to our pet family! I love wildlife so I am super happy to see these 3 ducks taking up residency here in my back yard. Besides, seeing ducks in my yard is a GREAT sign that spring is finally coming!
