Wacky Weather and the Cactus
As most of the country is experiencing the wackiest weather around, I woke up the other day to a strange sight. Normally my cactus blooms in the coldest part of the year, like around December. I guess that is why it is called a Christmas Cactus. But since the weather has been so crazy, I don’t think the poor thing knows what it is supposed to do.
But I was thrilled as I got to see my pretty little cactus blooming in Feb….just in time for Valentines day! Here is a picture so you can enjoy it too!
I love these types of plants. I sent one to my mom when she was in the hospital a few months before she passed away and it was massive. She loved that plant and had to use a wheelchair to wheel it out of the room and into the house. LOL My grandmother had huge one for many years as well so seeing it bloom reminds me a lot of my mom and my grandma. I hope mine grows up to be just like theirs!
