What I like about this book is that the author address the reason you become overweight and then shows you how to address all of those reasons so you can get the body you were born to have. She calls it the DEM System and she teaches what foods your body will respond to and help to speed up your metabolism.
JJ Smith’s system of Detox, Eat and Move (DEM) is clear and concise in her methods. It is an easy to follow program and she tells you right up front, the first 3 weeks are the hardest as you flush your body of the toxins and re-train yourself with proper good eating habits.
The author take time to explain in detail what makes us overweight and unhealthy. She describes toxins and what they do to us as well as the good products to use to detox. There is a large section on Hormonal Imbalances and how that affects you and goes into detail on how to speed up your metabolism. Then it is on to the foods you should eat and not eat and the entire system is layed out for you so it is easy to follow.
There is a section just for women only that talks about menopause and gaining weight during that… or rather how not to as well as other important things women face. Also included is a 10 day detox program buy fast using The Master Cleanse program which will really get you kick started.
I really love that fact that JJ Smith has brought together all of the information that I have been reading here and there about eating right, detoxing and general health into one place. I am thrilled that I can follow an easy to use plan that is a no brainer because she lays it all right out! I only wish that this book was spiral bound for quick access to the food sections and detox sections.
If you are struggling with weight loss for any reason, check out this jam packed book full of the right things to do. There is no crazy meals, calorie counting or extreme exercise that you have to do. I am excited to use her suggestions!

JJ Smith is a nutritionist and certified weight-management specialist, passionate relationship/life coach, and inspirational speaker. She has been featured on The Montel Williams Show, The Jamie Foxx Show, and The Michael Baisden Show.
