My husband and I are big coffee drinkers and we drink a few cups of freshly brewed coffee each and every day. When it comes to coffee, we are pretty particular about it because neither one of us enjoys a bitter-tasting coffee. Today’s review is on ground coffee by Eight O’Clock who has been in the coffee business since 1859 and is currently the #1 best selling, whole bean coffee in America.
My Review: The generous folks over at Eight O’Clock Coffee sent us 2 bags of ground coffee to review for all of you. Hubby and I have never tried the Eight O’Clock brand before so we were super excited to try them out for this review. We received an 11 oz. bag of their 100% Columbian Ground Coffee made from 100% Arabica Coffee Beans for the review. This is a medium roast coffee and the only ingredient in it is Arabica Coffee Beans. Gotta love that! We decided to use this coffee as our morning coffee when we both need our caffeine to get our day started. We brewed a pot of coffee following the instructions on the package and sat down for our taste test. The coffee is definitely a medium-bodied coffee and I was pleasantly surprised that it was not bitter at all. It had a wonderful smooth and pleasant taste. We have been enjoying a pot of coffee every morning since receiving it and we both love it.
We also received an 11 oz. bag of their Decaffeinated Original Ground Coffee made from 100% Arabica Coffee Beans. This is a medium roast coffee and the only ingredient is 100% Arabica coffee beans. During the evening we still love to have our coffee but we do switch over to a decaf blend for our evening use. We followed the instructions on the package and brewed ourselves a fresh pot of decaf coffee. Even though this one is decaf I didn’t notice any different taste to it at all and I love that! A lot of times when you go decaf you get a bitter after-taste but that was not the case with this Eight O’Clock coffee! This is definitely a medium-bodied coffee with an absolutely wonderful taste!
We loved both of these coffees from Eight O’Clock and let me tell you…they are both on my grocery list because I will be purchasing them when I hit the store next weekend on my grocery run. If you have never tried this particular coffee brand…I highly recommend that you do!
