Pierogies and Kielbasa Recipe

Looking for a new recipe to make for family lunches or for family dinners? If so…you should try this one that was given to me several years ago by my sister-in-law. It is really easy to prepare and tastes delicious!

Pierogies and Kielbassa Recipe

1 pkg. (16.9 ounce) frozen potato and cheddar pierogies
8 oz. kielbasa, thinly sliced
1 onion, quartered thinly sliced
1/2 teaspoon caraway seeds
4 cups packaged fresh coleslaw mix
1 apple, cored, quartered and thinly sliced

In a large skillet, heat 1 Tbsp. oil over medium heat. Add pierogies; cook, turning once, until tender and lightly browned, 8-10 minutes. Transfer to plate. To same skillet over medium-high heat, add kielbasa, onion and caraway seeds; cook, stirring, until lightly browned, 5 minutes. Stir in coleslaw mix, apple, 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper; cook until tender, 3 minutes. Add 1/2 cup water and pierogies; cook, stirring for 1 minute. Serve with coarse-grain mustard if desired.
