We are getting ready to paint our new office!

As you all know…hubby and I purchased an older home last May and have been steadily gutting it and remodeling it to make it more modern and to our particular liking. This old home that we purchased also has a detached office so that painting project is up first on our list.

For the past 2 weeks we have been busy shopping around for fire retardant paint as hubby feels that is important to use in a commercial business office like the one we are currently remodeling and getting ready to paint. Hubby is hoping to move part of his external business into this office so that he can be around more for our family.

Painting Inside of the House

This detached office is pretty large and also has a small kitchen and full-size bathroom with it. He had all of the plumbing, drywall and carpeting replaced just last month so now we are onto the painting and still trying to decide if we want to do this ourselves or hire painting professionals to come in and do it for us. (my vote is to hire the professionals to do it).

Once the painting is done we will be busy shopping around for some new office furniture like 3 new desks, 3 orthopedic desk chairs, some wall fixtures, lighting fixtures, etc. and he has already hired a contractor to come in and build a countertop in the “official” waiting area of the new office.

I am really looking forward to getting this project done so that he can be around more for the family. It will be nice having him working in the office just a few short yards from the main house.
