Today I would like to introduce you to a company that I stumbled upon when I was looking for slipper socks a few weeks ago and that company is called Skidders who has been in business since 2008.
The company makes a line of toddler shoes that can be worn indoors or outdoors and are a combination of a slipper sock and shoe. They are light-weight, comfortable, cute and certainly durable. In addition to the toddler shoes…they also make slipper socks (non-skid socks) for both men and women as well as kids. In addition to the footwear products they also sell gripper tights, gripper knee pads, shoes, booties and socks.
My Review: The great folks over at Skidders sent me a package of their adult female bootie style slipper socks and a pair of little girl’s Skidders Shoes in the Dora the Explorer design to review for all of you. First up, the women’s Skidders Gripper Socks which sell for $6.99 per pair. These are super soft terry socks in a bootie style with durable grips on the sole for enhanced traction and protection. They come in some beautiful colors and patterns so I hope you check them out! I got a brown pair with a pink floral print and a pink pair with a darker pink floral print and absolutely LOVE them! I have hardwood & ceramic tile floors in 5 of the rooms here in my home and often slip on the floors with regular socks on my feet. Since receiving these Skidder socks, I have not slid one time…nope, not even one time! They are so super comfortable to wear and they wash/dry like a dream.
The second item we are reviewing for all of you is a pair of Skidders Shoes in the Dora the Explorer style which are way tooooo cute! These adorable slipper shoes retail for $19.99 and are worth every dime! They are made for indoor/outdoor use and are super light weight. If you ask me…they are a combination of a sock with a good traction sole on them…a must have item for toddlers! I gave these to my 2 1/2 year old grand-wee-one and now she wants more pairs of them! She can put them on & take them off all by herself. She no longer slides across my floors and they are super comfortable on her because they are flexible, soft & light weight. She can wear them in the house or wear them outside. She LOVES Dora the Explorer and these Skidders are her new favorite pair of shoes LOL. The soles on these Skidder Shoes are prickly so they really do grip the floor really well. We love them!!!
Overall Impression: We love both of the products that we received from Skidders! They are super cute products, well-made and you got love that they are functional…not just a pretty sock but a sock with benefits!
