I have worn glasses since 4th grade and pretty much have hated it ever since I got my first pair. Because my eyes are so bad, I try and make my glasses last as long as possible without having to change them as it is soooo expensive to buy new lenses and frames. I was shopping at the normal mall type stores until I just couldn’t afford it anymore. I think it has been 5 or 6 years since I had new glasses. Not good! But now that there are internet companies that make prescription glasses for less, I can afford to have some new ones!

I know that my prescription really stinks. I had a terrible time selecting a frame for my review. When I first went to the site, it was different from the way it looks now. The navigation was not super easy. It kept losing my search and I could not easily find frames that would hold a progressive lens. I was pretty annoyed. I emailed the company and they quickly replied and provided me with the correct link to find the frames I needed. The selection for me and my specific needs was not great and the frames very fairly expensive at $80, but I got a pair that I thought would work for my heavy prescription and it did.
With my credit allowed for doing the review, I still ended up paying additional and therefore I could not afford the extra $30-$40 for the super thin lenses which I usually get. I did love that the lenses are included in the price and for a upgrade in price, you can change out the lenses. Nice feature!
My glasses went into production the day after I ordered them… I got an email about that… and it did take several weeks to complete. I was a bit worried about the fact that my prescription was so heavy so I emailed them and said they could remove the progressive part on the lens if it was an issue and again the company was super awesome when I did ask about it. They told me when they would ship and I got the glasses within 2 days!
I was so excited to see them! They did remove the progressive section, which was super nice. The frames are much darker then what I thought I ordered and the lenses are so thick, but I can See! I can See! Do I like they way they look on me?? Noooo and I am going to get different ones, but I can See – I Can See!
Now the good news! All of the things I mentioned above about the website has changed. There is a brand new site with super easy navigation and wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy better frame selection than when I had to choose mine. The prices are much lower on the frames and more affordable. They have over 900 different styles to choose from, including big plastic frames, flex titanium, progressive lenses, Transitions, you name it. Top notch quality, made here in the United States which is important to me!
I am going to switch these out because they make me look like an old school teacher and I hate looking old! But I am super impressed by their service and the lenses, which really scared me, I can see perfectly from. They are right on the money! I will be buying again from Just Eyewear. My son and hubby both need glasses too.
