Gourmet Dip Mixes and Baking Mixes from Delectable Addictions
Today I would like to introduce you to the wonderful company called Delectable Addictions who makes some of the most delicious gourmet food mixes that I have ever had the pleasure of reviewing. As you all know, I have reviewed many…so trust me when I say that the products from Delectable Addictions are absolutely some of my favorite in the gourmet food mixes industry.
Delectable Addictions prides itself on providing you the consumer with easy to prepare mixes for home use that taste absolutely delicious! These mixes are great for home cooks, especially cooks who don’t have a lot of time to spend in the kitchen. In addition, these mixes are fabulous as gourmet foodie gifts too! When you shop at Delectable Addictions you will find delectable gourmet brownie mixes, cake mixes, dessert mixes, beverage mixes, dip mixes, soup mixes, muffin mixes and more!
The generous folks over at Delectable Addictions sent me a large box of gourmet goodness to review for all of you so I will be breaking these reviews down into smaller ones and attaching giveaways to several of them. I will be posting them over the next couple of weeks.
My Review: Today I am reviewing for all of you the Delectable Addictions Rio Salsa Soup Mix, Roasted Garlic Dip Mix and the Heart Warming Wassail Hot Beverage Mix. First up…the Rio Salsa Soup Mix which sells for $4.50 per package. When I received this gourmet mix it immediately “peeked” my interest since I have never tried a soup like that before so within a few days I prepared it for my family for lunch. To make this soup you will need to add 6 cups of water, 1 lb. ground beef, 16 oz. bottle of thick & chunky salsa and a 10 oz. package of frozen corn. The complete directions are on the package. Once it is done you serve the soup with your own sour cream and grated cheese. Overall…it took me around 35 minutes from start to finish to make a big pot of soup for my family and while it was cooking it smelled so good! This soup mix will make 6 hearty servings and each serving only has 90 calories…great for those watching their weight like me! Once we were done eating my family RAVED and RAVED about this soup! All 3 of us went back for seconds. We loved the spices & flavorings and loved that the soup mix includes the spice packet and the rice! yeah!
The next item that we tried out was the Roasted Garlic Dip Mix which sells for $4.00. You simply mix this dip mix with 1 cup of sour cream and 3/4 cup of mayonnaise…we used low-fat mayonnaise. This dip can be made in a chilled version or a baked/hot version, choice is yours! Once it is done you simply serve it with freshly cut veggie sticks, chips, pretzels, crackers or even with a loaf of French Bread. We love this dip…the perfect blend of garlic and seasonings and we served it with veggie sticks and some organic crackers.
The very next day I decided to mix up the Heart Warming Wassail Mix which is a beverage that is typically served during the fall and winter months which is served warm. A few times a week a few friends stop by and we go out walking with our mommy walking group and I thought this would be a great warm beverage to have once we got back. I mixed this up with 2 quarts of apple juice and then warmed it up via stovetop. Once done my 5 lady friends gathered around and we went in for our taste test. OMG…this stuff is delicious!!! Not only is is good but it definitely warms you up during a cold winter day! This gourmet yummy mix sells for $2.00.
