Gevalia French Roast Ground CoffeeGevalia, a new premium Swedish coffee from Kraft Foods, is making its way into U.S. retail stores for the first time this month. Known for its loyal following online, Gevalia has been around for more than 150 years – which makes the retail launch even more exciting for this historic brand.

Our Review: Hubby and I both enjoy coffee and usually drink a couple of cups of it a day…in the evening before bedtime we even enjoy having a final cup but we use decaf at this time of the day. The generous folks over at Gevalia sent us a 12 oz. bag of their French Roast ground coffee to review for all of you.

About The Coffee: This is a coffee of impressive richness and dimension, expertly crafted from prized Arabica beans grown in Columbia and Brazil. Hints of aromatic smoke give this dark-roasted French Roast blend an intense, yet uniquely satisfying flavor. This is an exceptional smooth, never bitter coffee.

Hubby and I got busy brewing a pot of coffee and within a few minutes we sat down to enjoy our first cup. The coffee has an moderate-intense flavor and I consider it to be a full-bodied coffee and you can tell it is a dark roast which is how we like our morning coffees! We used 1 heaping tablespoon of ground coffee per 6 fl. oz. of cold water just like the package recommends and it came out perfectly for us each and every time. The coffee tasted fresh and is was not bitter tasting at all…it was really good and we both went for second cups.

Since receiving this Gevalia coffee we have indeed purchased more of it at our local grocery store because…well…it’s so good! If you are coffee drinkers like us…we think you would LOVE this coffee! It is now available nationwide at your local grocery stores so make sure you look for it the next time you are coffee shopping! We highly recommend it to you!
